2011 Oxfam Trailwalker
Four people, one goal: 100km in 36 hours. April 9-10, 2011
Ruth Ward and Catherine Musgrave were part of a team called "Four Gems" who completed the 2011 Oxfam Trailwalker.
"We did it. We completed the Oxfam Trailwalker 2011.
It took us 28 hours and 14 minutes, but we made it in the end. There is no doubt that this was an extremely tough physical and mental challenge.
We were blessed with wonderful weather which absolutely made the event. The scenery of Taupo was spectacular (when we remembered to stop and look)..."
